DAY 01: CUSCO – POROY TRAIN STATION: A driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco (Peru) to take to Poroy, a car trip of 15 minutes, where is located the train station. The city of Cusco is located at 3400 m above sea level, which was the capital of the Inca´s Empire, navel of the world. The city is known as the archaeological center of the Americas. UNESCO declared Cusco a World Heritage Site in 1983 and its legacy dates back to the 15th century and is attributed to the Inca Pachacutec, who built the city’s most remarkable constructions. There are 17 colonial churches around Cusco, all of them built above Inca ceremonial temples. Poroy village is located 10km from Cusco city where the Train Station serves as a starting point to Machupicchu.
